Maybe you heard that the article nº 107 of the Honduras Constitution does not permit to a foreigner to purchase a property within the first 40 kilometers of the borderlines, including the coasts…
That is true, but in 1990, a government decree modifies said article and establishes that for residential purposes a foreigner can freely acquire a property within the limits set by the constitution for a maximum size of ¾ acre.
So, don’t worry if you are a foreigners! If you like the sea, even if you wish to buy some Roatan Real Estate  you can do it even though it is an island thanks to that decree or constituting a corporation…
Additionally, take on count that there is a simple way to buy a bigger lot …creating an Honduran corporation.
