Gran Atlantida, is a development that consists of about 800 acres with 3 kilometers of beach frontage on Honduras’ North Coast of the Caribbean. It is accessed by a private dirt road that is approximately 3 kilometers long. Beginning at the front entrance, which is on the edge of Dole’s pineapple fields, the private road winds through fields and a mahogany grove, a strip of jungle where Howler monkeys, pesotes (coatimundi) and other wildlife flourish, eventually arriving at the Caribbean, where it then turns and parallels the beach. At either end of the property, rivers mark the boundaries. Currently there is nothing on either side of the property for several kilometers in either direction, except empty jungle. Foot traffic on the beach is very rare and is usually just a fisherman passing by. From the beach, the beautiful mountain range that follows the coast can be seen, with Pico Bonito rising 8000+ feet directly behind the site.

If someone invests $50,000 or more into the project, they can receive their Investor Residency. Their home must be titled in the name of a Honduras company. There is also the pensionado residency for retirees. The residency can lead to citizenship after 3 years. Dual citizenship is permitted in Honduras.
